Another day... or not so!

Back to my hobbie after a long and tiring day, in fact two days.

At : The India Economic Summit of the World Economic Forum
Time: 6:43PM
With a colleague, waiting for her pick up.

This could make for a page from a reporter's diary, but for me it is yet again a simple vent-out of what went through me while I spent the hours of a day at work. This day was rather interesting and quite different from my everyday-day. It saw me running in and out of venues for conferenes, talking to people from various industrial sectors and hearing economic thinkers from across the world.

Blogging from different places, like I always say, is fun because it adds a unique-ness factor to what I write. So I am at the lobby of Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi and it has been bustling with people from varied countries (note the different skin colours and languages). The day has been long and tiresome, more so for the reporters who have been jostling for news and exclusives and interviews... I, was being professional while I couldn't not noticed many a things 'on the sidelines'.

The first thought that crosses my mind, of course is, thanks to my company and colleagues who are SO nice that I don't think I will ever be able to quit this company... or at least my reason for the same are very few. They were all right there, by me, standing tall for a rather new girl in the job and still treating her an equal!

So this is supposed to be one of the largest conferences in the country and there is not one part of the India media industry that can let this go amiss. I am glad that it's my second time here... and truly an experience to cherish!

Like I was saying, 'on the sidelines' (or say in my mind) this seemed like a getting togethe of many many people in blacks--every shade of it. I wonder what's this fascination people have for blacks and blues and greys. There's not a fourth colour I noticed in the last two days...men in back/navy blue/steel grey blazers and women in pretty black dresses. (Yeah, me was in my normal--something out of the cupboard clothes! HATE IT!)

There were ideas and concepts and stuff that goes OTH that were discussed... and well, I did try hard to pose that I was up with all of it. Just makes me think... thw world is doing SO much, it's upto SO much... and I, still figure miniscule. But well, I know, not for long (or so I wish).

Anyhow, right now my shoes are biting and it's getting cold. I have a LONG ride back home... Donno when I'll reach and how! Urgh! Some more money lord! (SECRET WISH -- Just a cab back home! Next year, yes... Yet another promise! ;)

CHEERS!
